Paul Vella - Principal Computer Examiner
Paul has worked in the computer industry since 1986 and has worked on countless government projects in that time including a number of classifed military projects. In the late 1990s, Paul was part of the small design team who designed and built the new Inland Revenue nework i2K, making it the fastest design and roll-out of a large-scale computer system on record.
During his career, Paul has worked in systems design, maintenance, technical support, training, research and development and IT security.
Paul is an established and recognised Expert Witness who has conducted more than 3,000 forensic examinations of computers, more than 200 forensic examinations of mobile phones and conducted a signifcant number of cell site analysis reports.

Thomas Hugh Morgan
Hugh is an established Forensic Examiner with extensive experience in conducting forensic computer examinations on behalf of both the defence and prosecution. He was involved in the development of the early forensic tools by Vogon as far back as 1995.
Being our resident data recovery expert, Hugh is regularly called upon to work on some of the more challenging cases involving corrupted data and damaged hard drives.
Dauan Aziz
Dauan joined us fresh from his Msc in Forensic Computing and Security, and will be working closely under the supervision of Paul Vella our Principal Forensic Examiner. Alongside his computer forensic skills Dauan is also fluent in Arabic and Kurdish, and has previously worked as an interpreter for government agencies in immigration matters. We hope to be able to make the most of these skills to enhance our work on terrorism cases.
Sarah Vella
Sarah is a former Police Officer. Prior to that, Sarah worked as an Authorised Officer with Trading Standards, and as an Investigator with a trade organisation, investigating the sale of counterfeit goods on behalf of its members. With an extensive background in Trademark and Copyright law, Sarah is perfectly placed to manage all our cases involving Intellectual Property. Sarah has extensive experience in grading indecent images according to the Sentencing Advisory Panel guidelines.
Laura Johnson
Laura holds a law degree from the University of Gloucester, and is training to be a forensic examiner. Laura is responsible for managing all our exhibits, creating forensic images of computers and the forensic examination of mobile phones.
